Database Description
Running/walking database is collected by proj102 students at SU during Fall 2006 semester. The process is administered by: Ahmet Tuysuzoglu, Berkay Topcu, Hakan Erdogan

INSTALLATION:

Under a unix system (or cygwin under windows),
untar these files in the same directory by:
tar -xzvf runwalk_avis.tar.gz
tar -xzvf runwalk_xmls.tar.gz

You will need gnu tar. You can also use winrar to extract these files under windows.

Each folder will have an avi and an xml file. The avis are divx compressed. The xml file is in viper-gt format. It contains the dimensions of the bounding boxes for that video for some of the frames where the subject is totally visible.

If you use this database, please cite the following paper:

Topcu, B., and Erdogan, H., "Using local temporal features of bounding boxes for walking/running classification," IEEE ICASSP 2008, Las Vegas, NV, Apr. 2008.
